UNI-STAR officially becomes a member of the Games Specialised Committee of the CADPA.

On 25 July, the first meeting of the Game Industry Research Expert Committee (GIREC) of the China Audiovisual and Digital Publishing Association (CADPA) was successfully held in Shanghai. The meeting was attended by Sun Shoushan, Chairman of the China Audiovisual and Digital Publishing Association (CADPA), Zhang Yijun, First Vice-Chairman of CADPA and Chairman of the Games Committee, Ao Ran, Executive Vice-Chairman and Secretary-General of CADPA UNI-STAR, and other members of the Games Committee.

A plaque for the "China Audiovisual and Digital Publishing Association Game Industry Research Expert Committee" was unveiled at the conference. Zhang Yijun, First Vice Chairman of the China Audiovisual and Digital Publishing Association and Chairman of the Game Industry Committee, read out the "Response to the List of the First Leading Organisations of the Game Industry Research Expert Committee", and UNI-STAR officially became the first batch of member units. Sun Shoushan, Chairman of the China Audiovisual and Digital Publishing Association, presented certificates to some member representatives.

In his speech, Zhang Yijun elaborated on the future work focus of the Game Committee, which will revolve around "one centre and two basic points". The so-called 'one centre', the Game Committee should always be professional in research ability and quality, gather the expertise and wisdom of experts from all parties, and work together on industrial research to provide advice and suggestions for the healthy and sustainable development of the game industry. At the same time, the Committee should also step up its standard-setting efforts to ensure that each rule can accompany the order and high-quality development of the industry.

The so-called "two basic points", one is to explore innovation and creativity, the Game Committee must be based on the essence of innovation, stimulate innovative thinking, open up new horizons. The other is to promote communication and cooperation, the Game Committee should strive to build a communication platform integrating industry, academia, research and application, and provide better cooperation opportunities for all parties in the industry, while facilitating the exchange of knowledge and collision of ideas.

According to the introduction, the purpose of the Game Committee is to implement the state's requirements for the vigorous development of the digital economy, promote the "government, industry, academia, research and use" collaborative innovation and deep integration, further enhance the level of academic research on China's game industry, improve the scientificity and effectiveness of decision-making, and promote the high-quality and sustainable development of the game industry.

Representatives from UNI-STAR said that as a member of the Game Committee, UNI-STAR will work with industry colleagues and experts from all walks of life to implement the state's requirements to vigorously develop the digital economy, and actively pay attention to the development trend of the game industry and the dynamics of industry standardisation, so as to promote the continuous improvement of the game industry's research capacity and contribute to the healthy development of the game industry.
